Step-by-step tutorial
Step 1
I made two poster board puzzles for the kids on a recent rainy day. The red one is an easier version and the yellow is a bit more difficult. I put a squiggly line around the outside border and a shape in the middle of both puzzles for the kids to use as clues when they put it together. After you draw your shape and border, draw lines where you want the pieces to be and cut them out.
Step 2
We put the pieces together a few times (especially with my 3 year old working on the red one). Then I hid the puzzle pieces around the house and they had to find them and bring them back to "base" to put them together.
Final result!
Our favorite was definitely hiding and finding the pieces! Quick Tip: The more pieces you cut your puzzle into, the more difficult the puzzle becomes.
