Fiber Optic Stars

Once it was finished, both constellations looked great. Couple of the fibers broke easy.  Both my boys loved this even with the fibers broke. Great solar system project.

My son loved the end product in his room at night -- it looked spectacular. I loved that he learned some constellations.

The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The project was fun to make. My daughter was able to complete it all by herself and was SO PROUD she could do it all on her own.

Working with Fiber optics was a neat experience. Usually they are inside wires and you don't get to handle them. And considering how more often they are being used in the world, it was great to see them up close.

We really liked the combination of constellation with electronics and that it's something he can display in his room. I thought this was one of the best-I was very impressed.  Side note, my son's middle name is a star, so we chose the constellation his star is in, for his constellation and it's been a great way for him to find the star in the night sky. Thanks again, we loved this one!

I liked that it taught how fiber optics works, how to do small electronics, and how to use it to make a model of the night sky! So much fun for my kids!

Loved the project and magazine

Our son really enjoyed choosing his constellation and being very particular about the holes and placement of the fiber optics. Our 10 year old tinker dives right in as soon as the box arrives. He has kept every one he has ever received and goes back and does the other ideas and ways to use the crate at a later time.
