Ice Skating Rink
What you get
Get into gear and engineer a miniature, mechanical ice-skating rink — powered by gears! Learn to tinker with gears and rig up a motor, then decorate a unique winter wonderland scene complete with festive characters. Turn the motor on to make the gears rotate, then watch your snowman, penguin, and gingerbread man spin around and "skate" on the ice!

We sent this to our 4 yr old grandson who is obsessed with gears, motors, batteries and anything mechanical. He was thrilled to see the components and put it together immediately. Works great and made a perfect pre-Christmas winter toy.
My just-turned-5-yo LOVED this project. He was so excited from the moment he saw the box all the way through to finishing the build. It took just the right amount of time for him to built it, where he didn't lose interest or get discouraged. Difficulty-wise, he did need some prompts and help from me but it was a good level (I imagine an older kid could do this more independently). He was thrilled when it was complete and there was a lot of extended playtime afterwards. The characters are adorable and inspired a lot of imaginative play. This will definitely stay out in the open for the holiday season!
Super cute! Our 9 year old easily put this together by himself.
