My son found it a little tricky but with our help built the claw and had so much fun. 

My son had a fantastic time with this set. He never lost interest, and he could do the vast majority of it without any help. He's 8 years old. In the end, we did need to shorten the claw a bit, but that was super easy to do.

Kaleidoscope Play

The Kaleidoscope was easy to put together. It was fun! My 8 year old spent around 2 hours playing with this. 

These kaleidoscopes were, and continue to be, great fun. The crate contains very high quality materials and the kaleidoscopes are very easy to put together. 

My granddaughter was with me for three days, she’s eight years old, and was totally entertained and thrilled with the whole process, the books that came with it and ability to do her own artwork with it.

Great crate! The kids had so much fun putting this together. Educational and fun. I also love that the stand up kaleidoscope came with a to go case. It’s great if you are going on vacation and are planning on some dinners out where the kids need to be entertained. Lots of activities they can do on the go and keep them entertained!

My daughter got this one over a year ago and still enjoys playing with it.

Marble Timer

My son absolutely LOVED this crate. He put it together with ease, and plays with it, daily. It is currently used more than our television. ? Well done, KiwiCo! 

This was an awesome crate for my daughter to explore STEM more. The addition of the dip dye wood art was really neat as well.

Exploring and being creative

My son loved this crate as much as his first and it was easy to assemble. However I had two problems with it... first, he was never able to get it to function properly as a timer. The marbles kept falling off the last arm before it went down enough to trigger the next marble. Second, the little foam piece at the bottom did NOT contain the marbles. He lost 3 of them in the first 10 minutes because they were falling all over the floor. I also wish the finished product could be stored somehow in the original box. 

Good but not great. 

My son, 8, usually loses interest in toys and such quickly. He has gone back to this marble timer day after day. I, mom, even find it fun and soothing. The sound of the marble running the track changes every time you adjust the wooden pieces, it is nice and melodic, he is usually shouting "come hear this one!". This was a great purchase and we are always pleased with Kiwico items.

Loved this! Encouraged my child to think about how the marbles traveled through a pinball machine and how she could switch up the pieces to achieve the movement she wanted. 

I 1,000% recommend this. I helped my son build it and he loved it.

My grandson and I had a lot of fun putting this kit together and playing with it afterwards. It's so easy to change the parts around to explore how to make different paths for the marbles. He said it reminded him of playing miniature golf and trying to get the ball to bounce off a wall or an obstacle, which led to an excellent discussion regarding math and physics. 

Label which side foam goes on would help.  A fun project 

This was a gift for a grand nephew who turned 10. He was able to put together by himself and we had fun playing with it. 

My 6 and 7 yr old grandsons really enjoyed this kit! They had so much fun putting it together. I would definitely recommend this pinball kit.

Solar System

This was a hit with the kids. It visually showed them how the galaxy is. 

The kids loved the painting and the fact that the sun lights up.  It was easy for them to do with just a bit of assistance and actually having to paint each planet let them become more familiar with the qualities (size/make up/orbit in relation to the sun).  Comic that came along with the set was great and the meteor popper was awesome as well.

My son loved it! And I loved that it was perfect at the time seeing that he was learning about the solar system so it made science class for him more fun! 

So cute. Easy and relaxing to do.
Love the painting part of the project to make the solar personalized.

It was a big hit with my great- nephew, the first project he worked on after receiving his box. He's always excited to get each new kiwi crate every month and the special box was especially fun!

Robots and Coding

I liked it because I got the chance to make the design

My grandson and his dad loved putting it together.

We love kiwico items so much! And we wanted to love this… however the bunny robot just did not work. We followed the directions completely and it didn’t move at all. So unfortunately since that was the main project in this box, we put in a lot of work and didn’t get much out of it.  But that being said, we’ve tried a lot of the different kiwico crates and have been super impressed! This was a disappointment but will probably not hinder me from exploring new crates in the future. 

My 4 year old wasn’t really into making the pieces itself, but he did enjoy decorating his robot. Once all the pieces were put together, he spent all night doing the obstacles cards that come with this set. Once he completed all the cards, he went on to make his own obstacles and find ways around it! He had so much fun and loved the challenge. My husband and I loved seeing his imagination!

This is one of my daughters favorites. She played with this one longer then the others making different tracks. She even brought it to the park to show her friends. 

When the robot followed the track, my five year old said “my mind exploded!”

My son loved this! He’s still playing with it today. It was so nice to see his imagination flourish with this one. 

So far it’s been great. My 5 year old I was able to assemble the tracks (the foam parts) and can build different paths on his own. We have been going through the different puzzle cards of scenarios and they are great so far (we haven’t finished all cards yet).  It would be nice if the board were larger so the kids can build longer and more convoluted paths. The robot Pal that is assembled in step 1 doesn’t relate to the actual Rabot, but would be nice if there could be some activity associated with it too, other than just assembling it.

It was fun- putting in the foam bits was a little tedious and the kids lost interest after a few times (16 all together). They lived the little rabbit
