Great kit! The directions are clear and the video instruction is a really good addition to the kit. My grandson loves having a product he made himself and can play with again and again. Grandma loves that physics is integrated with play. A very fun and sturdy robot

12 year old loved it and was able to build it completely solo. It’s a great little project. Only 1 downside is it seems to lean to one side & not walk too far without a little prop up, but overall it’s great. 

My son's favorite Tinker Crate so far! Although it was tough to choose, they are all amazing!

Granddaughter (age 8 years) loved it!  However, she said she put it together in 7 minutes.

it was so easy to make it. It was so fun to build, but it was a little confusing to make, but I figured it out!

Putting together the robot was a great activity! It works well, and sparks a lot of questions. The one piece of constructive feedback I could give is the durability of the product. The first time the robot fell off the table the wood at the connection with the plastic leg bent, and began to crack. We noticed it wouldn't walk after that until we bent the plastic leg back into place, but the wood is very close to cracking. Aside from that I absolutely loved the product! The amount of background information included with the box and the zine made a very contextual and educational experience.

It worked great, but then the foot broke quickly.  Not enough width around where the orange pegs connect.

I actually ordered it for my nephew's birthday. But my 6 year old daughter convinced me to give it to her. I was unsure whether it would be appropriate for her age or not. But I wanted to encourage her. And she did make her first robot. The instructions were really easy to follow for her. 

My 7 yr old was able to build it completely by himself. It was a fun activity and he can’t wait to try the other robot ideas that came with it. 

The grandkids, ages 10, 11, and 12, lived their boxes. The sense of accomplishment was an amazing reaction. I will be getting more in the future.

This was one of the best kits we got so far, the others seem to break easily or hard to build, this was amazing

It was a snake which was cool. Liked the interchangeable skins. You could give it the tires of a monster truck so it could go on rough terrain.

Like all Kiwico stuff, this is right at the sweet spot of complex enough to be challenging and engaging and intuitive enough for my daughter to build entirely on her own. I love that the assembly doesn’t need any tools or fiddly little parts.

The completed snake is adorable, it moves in a really zippy way, and my daughter loves that you can change the “skin” to give it three different looks.

It’s really well designed and fun, a perfect rainy day/vacation activity.

My daughter had to put it away and hide it from my grandson, because he was so curious about it. They have to set aside time to assist him with it. He's only 6 but he's very academically advanced for his age. It was very hard ti decide what to choose. I'm on a budget but if I wasn't, I would have chosen at least four.

Fairly easy assemly. 

Instructions could provide a little more detail. (Instructions do not show metal disc on head, so we do not know whether the disc should be on the top or the bottom.) 

 One body piece was not cut correctly. We plan to build our snake without this body section. Should be fine. 

  Still building. Not yet tested. 

My 9-year-old loved putting together this snake robot. She was able to successfully accomplish the entire project by herself. Because we have only carpeted floors, the snake wasn't able to get enough traction to move more than a few inches forward. I helped prompt her toward finding another solution and she suggested using some of her lego tires. She searched through a few different sizes she had available and we were able to squeeze on a pair. The snake now has enough traction to maneuver across multiple styles of carpeting in our house. I would suggest KiwiCo add tires that give better traction to future boxes.

Awesome fun! Definitely recommended. My 6yo loved building it 

We bought it for our 9 year old nephew and he loved it.  His parents said the quality was much better than other kits he's received.  Everyone liked the fact that he could do it himself.  

My daughter (9 years old) had so much fun putting this together with a little help with me.  She has lots of fun playing with it.

My 11 year old loves this!  He named it DEM (Domino Extracting Machine) and it comes out to play regularly.  We've had it more than 6 months now and it's still a hit.  He's so proud that he built it himself!  It even has controls to turn different directions so you can pay dominos on a curve.  

Excellent build instructions, quality materials, and honestly it lead to hours of fun for my 9 and 7 year olds. 

Was great to build for my 8yr old at the time. Physics aspect was intuitive, results were rewarding, and enough  instructional length to keep it engaging without tedium

What a great gift for my 8 year old grandson. Such quality components and clear age appropriate instructions. Fabulous 

My grandchildren were so excited to receive the Domino Machine. These kits are the only thing they ever want for their birthdays!

I sent this to my bonus granddaughter in Croatia and got 2 for my granddaughters here. Once all 3 had them, we built and played them via facetime. They all enjoyed it. The 7 yr old & the 12 yr old enjoyed building them. The 9 yr. old gave up in the first few minutes. The 12 yr old finished hers too. 
It was not difficult to build, but challenging enough to keep them all interested. 

My 6yr old son loved this project and had seen the bigger project featured on YouTube. This is for an older age group but if your child is very mechanically inclined or very interested. It is a great project even for some younger ones even if mom and dad need do it with them.

It’s pretty nice but the last few all over

This was by far the best project of any type we have ever put together!! It was fun, came with excellent directions despite the fact the online instructions couldn’t be found! If I can put this together with my kids, anyone can! It took us about an hour to get it ready and the outcome was seriously amazing!! Mark Rober is a genius and this little domino machine is our new best friend! We will be using this project to move forward with studies on potential and kinetic energy! I’m 41 years old and enjoying this little guy just as much as my kids (maybe a little more)!! So worth the price, which I feel is more than reasonable for everything you get. You will not be disappointed with this domino machine!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!!

This was a great DIY project.  The instructions were very detailed and easy to follow.   This is a great project for both kids and adults who have the need to build and create.  The pieces are made well and I love that no messy glue was needed.   I plan to purchase more products from Kiwi in the future.    

This was a fun easy build! My 10 y.o. son has spent hours playing with it setting up dominoes. We even did a race between myself and the machine, and let me tell you this little machine is faster. Thanks, Kiwico, and Mark Rober!
