Mechanical Ornaments Advent Calendar

Our kids, ages 8 and 10 enjoyed making the Christmas Ornaments.  We enjoyed the creative packaging of the individual ornaments hidden behind each ornament cutout.  Each ornament was a surprise and played  with before going on the tree.  The snowball throwing penguin and glowing fireplace were the two favorites

We got this advent calendar for 2 of our children to build leading up to Christmas. (Others are still too young). And it was a hit!! My kids woke up every day asking if it was an advent calendar day. My only (slight) disappointment is the quantity of ornaments, we wish there were a full 24 instead of 12. But we did one every other day so it worked out! 

My kids are 15 and 12 years old (girl and boy) and have done the advent calendars from KiwiCo each year (village, train, ski resort) -- all of them!  Each year we wonder if they will have outgrown doing them, but then we end up ordering anyway.  I am thrilled that they not only still love them, but they report that this year was their favorite one yet!  The mechanical ornaments were so fun for them to make and they immediately added their ornament to our tree each day.  We do get two kits for our two kids so they each have their own, and they just love them.  It has become a sweet tradition.  Well done, KiwiCo.

Kept my 5 and 3 year old busy and even more excited for Christmas. My 5 year old was able to build most things all by himself with minor help. Great investment!

This pack of "build your ornaments" was a hit for the children in my 4th grade classroom!

But shipping took FOREVER. I realize this is not within the company's control, so this is more of an FYI for the international customer. Expect your items to take 6-8 weeks to arrive. 
My 6yo loves to build and play with his little ornaments he made. 

We absolutely LOVED this set of ornaments! All the pieces were included and the instructions were very easy to follow. My autistic son was so excited every day to put one together and was even able to follow some of the directions, I also got a calendar for my nephews and they loved it too!

My son and I loved putting together these ornaments. Some were better than others, but all provided at least a few hours of entertainment, which in my book is a win. 

Me and my family loved building a new ornament for our Christmas tree this year! Especially special since we didn’t have any ornaments yet. Will loves these for years to come. Highly recommend getting this!

My granddaughter loved making the ornaments and did so entirely on her own.
