Step 1
First, we needed to separate the sunflower stems from the bundle. This would work with any artificial flower. We chose sunflowers because they are my daughter's favorite.
Step 2
She wrapped floral tape around the stem and pencil to attach them together.
Step 3
Pulling the floral tape tightly is the key.
Final result!
Once we made a few we added them to a special pencil cup that we made with a recycled can and some scrapbook paper. This would be a great gift for teacher appreciation week.
