    1. In the Indian state of Kerala, elephants play an important role in temple festivals. To help them prepare for this work, some elephants get spa treatments! When pachyderms get pampered, they eat healthy snacks, take refreshing baths, and get relaxing massages.

      Awesomeness: The Great Banyan

    1. It may look like a forest, but these woods are actually the above-ground roots of one enormous old tree. The Great Banyan tree is at least 250 years old. Even though its central trunk was removed in the 1920s, the remaining roots and branches are still growing. They cover an area bigger than four football fields!
