- Two top dogs — the tiny Chihuahua and this fur-free fellow — come from Mexico. True to its name, the Mexican hairless dog has no (well, very little) hair. The breed's proper name is Xoloitzcuintli, but friends call them Xolo for short.

- You can visit the ruins of this observatory in the ancient city of Chichen Itza. "El Caracol" means "the Snail," but the Mayans who built it were no slowpokes. As early as 1100 years ago, astronomers were able to track the stars and even predict eclipses!
