      Animals: Jindo

    1. Meet the dog that's a national treasure, the jindo. Often used as guard dogs, jindos are known for being loyal, smart, and tough. How tough? Legend has it that a pack of jindos once took down a tiger. Just don't ask a jindo to go outside in the rain; they hate water!
  2. Samyang Hek

      Food: World's Spiciest Instant Noodles

    1. South Korea is famous for its spicy foods. One Seoul company makes a kind of instant noodles that is so hot, it went viral. People all over the world posted videos of themselves tasting Hek Buldak Extra Spicy Roasted Chicken Ramen. The "Nuclear Fire Noodle Challenge" got people sweating, tearing up, and reaching for the milk. Anyone who could finish a whole cup was officially hot stuff!

      Awesomeness: Turtle Ship

    1. At the War Memorial in Seoul, you can see a reproduction the world's first armored ship. This 16th-century battleship is called a Geobukseon, although Westerners called it the "turtle ship" because of its protective shell of thick iron cladding. Coolest of all, it's believed that the crew could fire cannonballs out of the dragon's mouth!
