These moments of discovery bring happiness and learning, and the spark of confidence that says, “I can build and create anything!”
At KiwiCo, we believe that every child deserves the chance to feel that spark. Yet for many families facing hardship, access to hands-on projects that inspire learning and play isn’t always possible. That’s why this year, we partnered with Toys for Tots to donate 22,000 KiwiCo crates to kids across the country. With their long history of supporting children in need, Toys for Tots helps us ensure that more kids can experience the excitement of creating, building, and discovering with their own hands.
These crates are more than activities in a box, they’re moments of empowerment and learning that lead to confidence and agency as kids navigate the world. As KiwiCo Founder and CEO Sandra Oh Lin puts it, that spark is where big ideas begin. “It inspires me to think KiwiCo crates can help ignite it,” she says. “But access matters. I’m grateful for Toys for Tots for helping us bring that opportunity to more homes.”
This work is part of our 1-for-1 donation initiative, which we launched this year to ensure that every KiwiCo purchase helps ignite curiosity and discovery for another child. Alongside Toys for Tots, we also partner with community organizations year-round to make sure crates reach kids where they live and learn. It’s our way of making sure the joy of tinkering doesn’t stay in a box—it spreads.
