Bubble Necklace

My daughter is a fan of all accessories (already at the age of 6!) With back to school approaching, we thought we would make a few fun accessories for her to wear to the first grade. It's inexpensive, but best of all gets the kids thinking creatively!

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

We used metallic paint to get the beads shiny looking. If you use a regular paint color it might be nice to use a coat of gloss afterward to give it that clean shiny look.

  • Step 2

My daughter found it easiest to add all the beads to a cup and paint them while in the cup. Interesting, I know, but it worked.

  • Step 3

We dumped them out onto paper and touched up a few spots.

  • Final result!

Once dry she threaded her beads onto the twine. This came out better than I expected. I may be making one for myself next!
