Fairy Dust Necklace

By adding glitter to a teeny-tiny glass bottle, my daughter imagined she had wings that could fly her to all sorts of magical places. I love giving her that jump start to an afternoon of magical fun!

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

We found these darling potion bottles (as my daughter calls them) in the craft store. Some have corks and some have a plastic top with a hole ready for the twine, but we liked the look of the cork.

  • Step 2

To go with our teeny-tiny bottles, we found teeny-tiny eye screws that easily screwed right into the cork top.

  • Step 3

Emma made a little funnel with a piece of paper and added the glitter of her choice.

When finished, we added the cork to the bottle and threaded it on to some twine. You can add a drop of glue when closing the cork if you are worried about it coming loose. This would make a really fantastic party craft and favor! Who wouldn't want some magic fairy dust to wear around their neck?
