Step-by-step tutorial
Step 1
We cut the newspaper and cereal boxes into smaller rectangles so that the cookie cutters would fit on them.
Step 2
Then we glued the newspaper to the cardboard (yes, right on top if it). We used white glue, but any kind of glue would work for this.
Step 3
Our son picked out some dinosaur cookie cutters and traced them onto the newspaper. (You could use any kinds of cookie cutters--butterflies, stars, gingerbread, etc.)
Step 4
Next, we cut out the shapes. All the curves helped our son work on his fine motor skills.
Step 5
Punch a hole in the shapes and tie a string through the hole.
Final result!
Hang them from a tree, a doorknob, or wherever you want to spread some dinosaur cheer!
