Step-by-step tutorial
Step 1
After collecting some leaves outside, my daughter began by gluing each leaf on white paper with a glue stick.

Step 2
I told her the leaves would be the animals' bodies and she had fun placing them around the paper.

Step 3
My daughter wanted to add grass first, so she used a marker and went for it!

Step 4
I asked her what kind of animals she wanted. She said "bug", so I did this part for her since she is almost 3 years old. Older kids could draw their own! I used the leaf as the body and drew a bug for her.

Step 5
Next, she said "bear"! She did some of the background and I drew a bear. It was fun working together.

Final result!
Next, she said she wanted a "dinosaur"! She wanted him to be green. We had a lot of fun turning nature into animal leaf friends!
