Engineer with the mechanical claw

Students build a jointed claw to learn about articulation and tension. They also put on their engineering caps to solve design challenges using a limited amount of build materials. From the number of fingers to how much tension there is, no two claws will look or move exactly the same. Along the way, students practice problem-solving, testing, and iterating with the claw.

Expect lots of discovery, tinkering . . . and claw high fives!
