Biomechanical Hand

The connecting orange stickers need a look at. Ripped easy but can be fixed easy. Other than that this is a favorite amongst most the ones we have received. 9 year old paid attention to the booklet. Needed a little direction even if he is excellent at building things himself since he was young. He could have been impatient. They learned a lot from the the booklets and the boys had stories from people they remember having prosthetics. I learned some as well. Goes well with the doctor crate.

My daughter loves playing with this hand. She now uses phalanges as part of her everyday vocabulary. The project does seem to have a small design flaw as the thumbs movement puts a lot of stress on the foam joint, but we relieved ours with one of the extra eye hooks.

This project was interesting but a little more difficult for the boys to do. The fingers broke on them very easily and they got frustrated.

My son LOVED learning about how our hands work. He also enjoyed the book that had the fun test about the sensitivity of our fingers. He experimented with everyone he came in contact with that day. My son LOVES Tinker Crate. He doesn't get enough hands on science in school, so this helps satisfy that curiosity. Thank you!

My son loved building the hand. He was more patient with this build project then any other and it actually worked better than any other we have built.
