Color Projector Lamp
Liquid light shows and engineering meet with a groovy color projector lamp you build yourself! Wire up a motor and build a mechanical rocker system to move the liquid color discs back and forth. Then turn on the lamp to project soothing colors on the wall, all while learning about subtractive mixing and mechanical motion.

Behind the design

“The original inspiration for this crate came from the Aurora Borealis, or the Northern Lights. We tried a lot of ways to replicate the shifting colors. Our favorite method was one based on the liquid light shows of the ‘60s and ‘70s. So groovy!”
