Behind the design
“We found that the ‘flames’ in our earliest prototypes looked sharp and even a bit scary. So we experimented with other materials for a softer, cozier effect. The solution was inspired by another classic Christmas decoration: tinsel!”

The best kit! We will put this up every Christmas. The look and sounds - it’s perfect! We made it for our “Elves.”

This is such a great little project! Our son is obsessed with our wood burner and loves pretending to “make a fire” when Daddy does. Love all the features and how realistic the flames look. My son particularly loves the crackle sound!

This was a wonderful craft to do with kids. Each year we order a craft do with my great niece and nephew who live in Arizona (we are in Colorado). It starts the season perfectly. We FaceTime and build. The Fireplace was perfect; the kids are 9 and were able to build this with minimal help. Thanks KiwiCo for having these amazing projects. The crackling is perfect! My oldest grandson (19) was unable to join us so his 17 year old brother built one. I had to order another one for the 19 year old to build because he was so sad. My 30 year old son took his home to his wife. She loves is. These projects are really fun for all ages.

It’s a Christmas gift so we have not put it together yet. It is going to be amazing working with my son to put it together.
