Light-Chasing Robot

This is a gift.  I am sure my Grandson will love it. He loves your products. 

This was an excellent way to spend time with my grandson. We both enjoyed everything about the process and were very pleased with the product. 

My 7 year old (and I) built this during lunchtime today.  It took only about 1 hr. and 20 minutes.  He LOVED it. He was so excited when we tested it and the motors turned on!  I loved that the instruction booklet explained how it worked as we went along.  He can't wait to start on the next kit!

I liked it a lot but the light detectors were not picking up that much light and it was jerking around it defensively works though.

Since it cost way more than the average crate, I expected better. The sensors didn’t work unless the flashlight was almost touching them, so using both sensors at once to go straight isn’t an option. My son, being engineering inclined, moved the sensors, took off the turtle shell, and was able to run it better that way. He was going to try a new battery, but when he tried taking it off, a wire came loose from the motherboard. He still learned a lot and it helped him think about robotics and troubleshooting, but I wouldn’t buy it again. 

My son built it in an hour, but played for much longer.  My only recommendation is not using it on carpet.

My dad & I are on the older end of customers (20+yrs) but our 1st time building electronics went great thanks to the well detailed packaging & instructions! The science explanations, history, & drawings were implemented in a fun way too :)
I only ran into 1 issue where it was hard to tell which blue wire had the black stripe, so I checked the other wires & noticed the ones without a stripe had numbers so I used that as an indicator.

Gave this to my 11 year old grandson for his birthday.  He loved it!

One of my son’s favorite projects! And very functional - he takes it with him to bed. Lesson plan was at the right level to keep him interested.

I would say it was hard but it is really cool.  I find lego parts with it.  The writing was hard.  But we finally got it.

The life of this toy wasnt very long maybe three months with moderate use but my kid enjoyed it together

We had this as a project for the 7 and 9 year old during the holidays. They had help from their older cousins. It was a great group learning experience and the kids really liked the end product.

Everything was labeled and packaged easy, instructions were super clear, it was fun and educational, we could do a quick easy assembly for. 4 yo level and then a more detailed educational for a 13 yo

Quality parts. Biggest problem is changing batteries.  Need to partially disassemble t replace. 

This was the coolest crate we have received so far! It is solidly made out of plastic, it contains three motors! And it is not too complicated to build! My daughter played with it for hours making different shapes with the controls. Thank you for putting out such great products!

My son and I really enjoyed this project. We had to go over some of it a few times to get it right but it was a success overall. I learned so much and he did too. Now we both feel like engineers! 

It's ok. Sound works, but can't get the light that goes inside it to light up much no matter what I do. It does work though.

The light chasing robot was so cool that once I finished I took for a great trial run! It is very fast and agile so it is easy to move through the plastic cones included.

Love, love, love this set of projets!!! These electronics packs ae exactly what my son is into.  Would love to see more of them!  The only problem we had was with the laser projector.  The little needle heads were too delicate.
