The science behind separating colors was appropriate for age level of crate. We also loved being able to hang up and display what we did. I loved the educational/science aspect of this crate.

This crate was educational and offered materials and projects I wouldn't easily be able to gather on my own for somewhat open ended for exploration. I also love the extension/additional activity which was a surprise.

It struck a good balance between "craft" and "experiment, which engaged my child's interest longer than some of the more basic "construct a craft" kits. Have done all the experiments but haven't read through most of the magazine. Magazine is fine but never the main draw for us.

Everything was very interactive and took quality time to complete. There was lots of science and extra supplies so the activity could be done twice, great bonus project.

My kids loved the spinning paint project , they had so much fun seeing the colors mixing differently each time we did a new one. The paint was a little bit hard to get off of hands once we were done...so perhaps a more washable paint would be my suggestion. Not a deal breaker, but it would be nice from a mom perspective.

We really enjoyed watching the traveling colors and guessing what color the middle cup would be. The color separating activity was a little to advanced for my 5 year old. I don't think he understood the chart but he still liked watching the colors separate. We loved the spin art activity and even my 3 year old was able to participate
