Shadow & Light

My daughter and I laughed and played together and she even played alone with it for days and days! Being able to change some of the shadow designs were fun. It had all the supplies, and everything was a good quality. We did have some difficulties getting the films cut down to the right size for the box. But overall, the smiles and laughter you brought our family was amazing!!!

Just the right skill level for my 4yo to do the projects almost independently. And we loved the extension activities- how easy is it to go outside and trace shadows yet we never thought of it before. She brought the kaleidoscope to school, science class, halloween parties... favorite show and tell creation how about a plain piece of paper for kids to cut out their own shadow design and mom/dad can punch holes where needed.

Anything with stickers is always a hit in our house and the shadows couldn't have been more perfectly timed with Halloween and lots of shadows in books and outside. It was perfect

Very hands on, we've been hoping for a kaleidoscope!, and PERFECT timing with hurricane Sandy...flashlights and shadow puppets = perfect power outage activities:):) This one was spot on, I think. Good activities, I liked the fact that the shadow puppets had some extra shapes for open-ended creating. The only thing that didn't work super-well was the mirrored paper. It wasn't too reflective. But this is an INCREDIBLY minor thing, and I really don't know what else you'd use...I think those skinny mirrors might be an injury hazard?

We especially loved the shadow puppets. After creating them, I liked the fact that they encouraged my son to use his imagination to put on a show. There was only one EXTREMELY small thing - my son is a perfectionist and was bothered that some of the brads for the shadow puppets did not match the sticks or have a matching pairs.

Loved how it involved imagination in story telling through a non-traditional puppet. And it demonstrated the power of shadow and light. Second best crate we've received. Loved demonstrating how to manipulate light and shadow using the puppets and hands and other objects. Story telling was wonderful, you can tell old ones or make up new ones. Kaleidoscope was easy to make and use and showed how color plans into the light and shadow. Really great project! I truly recommend this to ALL my friends, it's just brilliant!
