Loved the cloth dying, and like the clock, its flexibility with peramiters... We practiced both techniques but dyed one of the practice clothes with Turmeric and discussed how ancient cultures used natural dyes found close to their homes or traded for more valuable colors like purples. I love the fact that the projects are useful once complete! It's something that has more life to it than sitting on my shelf. The Crates are helping bring out a natural and brilliantly creative side to my kids that we've only caught glimpses of before! It's sparking a love of learning that we've been trying to jumpstart for several years. Thank you for the gift of inspiration. The incredible joy on my kids' face when they receive their boxes, knowing they're about to learn something new and create something with their hands, makes it worth every penny to us. Thank you for another great Crate!

This was WAAAAY more than a tie dye kit (as my teen said to her younger brother who gets doodle crate), loved the technique with the wooden boards & elastics, those came out awesome. Great number of supplies for the test run & actual product. LOVED the way the tie was packaged so as not to make a mess. I showed it to an adult coworker who says she wants doodle crate after seeing our project.

It was fun and easy for my 12 year old to manage on her own... in the end she has a fun sack to cary her items in.
