I loved that it was an open ended activity and had lots of opportunity for creativity, my daughters final product did not have to look exactly like the example. It was age appropriate for her and she learned some new skills... Looking at a room and then putting the 'landmark' on the map was an excellent exercise.... And we've been having treasure hunts ever since.

I liked that my child had an opportunity to begin to use a map in a fun way. She really got into hiding the treasure in new places and changing where the 'X' marks the spot was located. There were great ideas to promote learning in this crate.

The box was a big hit . . . my son loves to put things in things. Like treasures! The mapping was a challenge for him, but he is on the younger side. Yet it also fed in to some of the things we have been working on with him, so it was good too. We are thinking about mapping our neighborhood next.

My son loved the mapping activity. He hid his treasure box, created a map, and had his father find it over and over again. I enjoyed the fact that he was having so much fun learning how to read and understand maps.

This was a giant hit with my girls. They were making maps for a bunch of different rooms in the house, then challenging each other to use each other's maps to find where they'd hidden the treasure.

We liked everything! I especially loved the cardboard pieces that helped in assembly... and the interlocking pieces. My little girl doesn't have a lot of fine motor strength or control and she enjoyed putting it together! :-) The maps were AWESOME! She loves the stories about Steve and his friends too. :-)
