Chalkboard Necklace

I think chalk is one of our favorite art materials to use. So, making a chalkboard necklace was over-the-top exciting for my kids! Who wouldn't love an accessory that can be personalized each day?

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

Wooden domino pieces worked perfectly for this. Any small wooden game piece will work great! I even toyed around with the idea of using a round wooden coin.

  • Step 2

My daughter painted each domino with chalkboard paint. We did about 2-3 coats to be sure to get a nice writing surface.
