Homemade Bell

Make a bell? Yes, please! That is how my five-year-old feels. I don't know what it is about bells and this girl, but if it dings or jingles, she has got to have it! (Probably just because she can make even more noise with an accessory.) So yes, excitement was in the air to make our very own bells. She called them "cow bells" and I am not really sure why.

  • Step 1

First, before I brought my kids over, I used an X-Acto knife to make two x holes at the top of the yogurt container.

Then my two-year old got busy threading our jingle bells onto the pipe cleaner.

Once the two jingles were in place, we pushed each end of the pipe cleaner through the holes I had made on the yogurt container.

Emma twisted the ends together to make a little bell handle.

Now it was time to make this bell pretty. I had planned on using some old silver holiday tissue I have, but Emma had a floral print bell in mind. We watered down our glue and she pasted the tissue squares right onto the yogurt cup.
