Step-by-step tutorial
Step 1
Gather your ingredients. If you want a healthier option, you can use a yogurt coating and raisins or nuts for decoration. Your kids are sure to love them either way.
Step 2
First, break up the twists to create the antlers. The kids liked snapping the pretzels apart.
Step 3
Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Cook for 30 seconds at a time until melted (but not too hot). Then dip the twists into the chocolate. The kids loved this part too since they got to be a little messy.
Step 4
Place the coated pieces on the parchment paper to dry. Then move two next to each other to create a pair of antlers.
Step 5
Then we dipped the top of the pretzel rods in the chocolate and placed them on top of a set of antlers. We added cut-up marshmallows for eyes and cinnamon candy for a nose. Very Rudolph-like, isn't he?
Final result!
After the chocolate dries, they are ready to be enjoyed--and the kids certainly did just that!
