Color Match Caterpillar

It's so fun when children start learning new things. My two-year old is learning his colors right now, and it's fun to see how excited his big sister is to teach him. She helped me make a fun color-matching game for him, and the two had a blast playing together.

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

I have a round paper punch that I used to cut out circles from different colored paper. You can just cut circles with scissors if you do not have a paper punch.

  • Step 2

My daughter put together her caterpillar by gluing the circles in a row on a plain sheet of paper. She used a marker for some details, and glued on eyes and antennas. It came out super cute, and she was very excited to help her brother learn his colors with this new fun homemade game!

  • Final result!

We piled up different colored pom poms, and the kids matched them to the circles on the caterpillar. Grayson had such confidence since he got them matched up correctly, and Emma was so excited to be able to help her brother learn. So sweet!
