Step 1
Cut a large window into the lid of the box.
Step 2
Cut a hole for the flashlight in one of the short sides and tape it in place. Make it a tight fit, and tape over any cracks. Leave the light turned off for now.
Step 3
Draw or print a picture to display inside your box, or place something inside.
Step 4
Cut 3 or 4 sheets of mirrored window film to fit the window. Stack up the sheets and tape them inside the window. If you can still see through, add another layer.
Final result!
Close the box and check your reflection. Just a regular mirror, right? Not quite. Turn on the flashlight, and voila! The secret hidden inside the box is revealed.
