Step-by-step tutorial
Step 1
The secret...puffy paint. Yep, that's how it's done. Get a fun assortment of festive colors and a sandwich bag and begin creating your hearts!
Step 2
I made a lot of heart shapes right on the bag first and my daughter filled them in. I don't know what it is about these paints, but whenever I bring them out I have her 100% attention. She loves using puffy paint, to say the least.
Step 3
Then she went for some more abstract kinds of hearts. This could be used for any kind of theme. Imagine the cute pumpkins you could make or birthday balloons. It's just so simple!
Step 4
Next, time to dry! They need to dry overnight.
Step 5
The next day the clings peeled right off and they felt really cool. My kids loved this part of it.
Step 6
We had glitter hands from earlier in the day, but look how pretty the glitter looks on the heart.
Final result!
They stuck right on the window and can be easily taken on and off. It ended up being sort of a fun sticker play scene for the kids. They loved moving them around. Gave me an idea for another window cling theme...people!
