Reindeer Tracks

I think every family has a favorite holiday treat. For our family it is reindeer tracks. Yummy gooey treats that the kids love and they love to make. We call them reindeer tracks since to us they have always looked like the magical rainbow tracks reindeer would leave behind.

Step-by-step tutorial

  • Step 1

Start by gathering up your supplies. We use Rolo's and M&M's but any chocolate covered caramel and hard candy shell covered chocolate will work. Then we use the mini pretzel twists because it helps with the reindeer foot print look.

  • Step 2

Have the kids top each pretzel with a rolo. A few tips, we work in small batches and even though you can use the oven, we use the microwave and a microwave safe plate so the kids don't have to wait long.

  • Step 3

Heat in microwave for about 30 seconds. You want them soft but not melted into a pool.

  • Step 4

Then have the kids carefully press an M&M onto each rolo and press it down. Be careful since some could be hot.

Then let them cool either on the counter or in the fridge and enjoy. They are addicting! They also make great gifts for neighbors and friends.
