I really like how the box can tilt in order to capture the sun at different angles. This not only helps teach about the movement of the Earth throughout the day, but also helps keep the experiment successful in melting the crayons. This has been a big hit. The kids also especially love the hidden Kiwi character in one of the crayon tray slots.

It is cool because you can make different crayon shapes. 

By far the best crate we’ve gotten! So very cool you can make your own crayons. Wish it were made of sturdier materials though. That cardboard isn’t going to last all that long.

This is a very cool idea and activity. I used this activity to support the topic of being resourceful (use the sun and perused crayon that we have) and work toward creating something new, while minimizing waste.
My 16 years old daughter incorporated her 6 years old brother in the activity. 

We loved this one!!! Easy, but fun to build, the sunglasses are adorable,  and it can be used over and over to recycle crayons.  The rainbow shaped crayons that popped out were adorable and usable as well. 

My 7 year old son and I both LOVED this set.  It was relatively easy for him to put together with a small bit of help from me - and the machine melted the crayons surprisingly quickly.  It was really satisfying for us to pop the newly reshaped crayons from the mold - and it was interesting to learn about solar energy.

The grandkids love this kit. It is something they can build and use!  

This one is great especially if your kids have a tablet. The only thing is the ear pads don’t have a good wear life since they just slip on so maybe some double sided tape to keep them on with constantly taking headphones on and off over time.

Wonderful activity. 12 yr old kiddo LOVED it. We were able to really talk about it and she taught me all about the mechanics and electrical! Great!

Our grandson absolutely loved building his headphones. And it's been a year and he still uses them daily! So it lasts, is well designed, and provides hours of fun plus his feeling of accomplishment: he tells his friends he made them! So proud!


This is easily the favorite kit my 12 year old has done! (Close second is the kinetic speaker) The build was challenging and the quality of the headphones is great. He uses them daily for homeschool lessons and they've held up really well.

My daughter LOVES being able to bring these headphones to school and say she made them. She always surprises her teachers when they actually work!

I was thinking of ending my subscription when my son turned 18, but this kit changed both of our minds! Now I’m ordering another kit for myself! Standard headphones are usually too tight. This is very comfortable, it’s cool looking, and the sound is impressive! 
We may never end our subscription!
